WASSCE 2020 Which supposed to hood between April/May has been shifted till indefinitely, but WAEC has assured country’s to expect new international time table from WAEC any moment.

This happened from the office of the west African examinations council (WAEC) on Sunday evening reassured all WAEC registered candidates, colleges and other officials that new international time table for the exam conduct in the west African sub region will be out once the covid-19 scourge calms in the region.

It should be remembered that WAEC, Nigeria, had on earlier on March 20, 2020, announced the postponement of the examination in respect of the current realities of the danger posed by the outbreak of the COVID-19 virus on Nigeria, Africa and the global world.

He also made it clear that the exam was supposed to begin in Nigeria on  6th April, 2020 and not on 15th April, 2020 as some authors of fake news have been flying fake news regarding waec 2020 and when waec 2020 is supposed to start.

In quote,

“WAEC, as an examining body in the sub-region, has not announced the cancellation of the examination; it only announced a postponement until normalcy is restored.

“The publication is patently false and deceitful. It is nothing but the handiwork of mischief makers who are out to defraud innocent and unsuspecting candidates and their parents/guardians,” Areghan said.

He also reminded some authors carrying fake news about WAEC that

“The examination fee is N13,950 only, not N22,500.

It is, therefore, not reasonable to refund candidates an amount greater or  higher than what they initially had paid to register for the waec 2020 Examination.
