Taraba lecturer regains freedom after 4 nights in captivity Umar Buba, the Taraba state university lecturer who was abducted from staff residence of the institution has regained freedom after spending 4 nights in captivity.  Umar who was kidnapped in the early hours of Sunday May 30, was released in the early hours of Thursday June 3.  Channels Television reported that a family member confirmed his release, but could not reveal if a ransom was paid to secure his release or not. His abduction and subsequent release makes it the third time that lecturers from the institution’s staff quarters will be kidnapped.The post Update: Taraba lecturer regains freedom after 4 nights in captivity appeared first on Linda Ikeji Blog.
