Office of the Attorney-General of the Federation and Minister of Justice has said that it is yet to receive an official communication on the arrest warrant issued against a Deputy Commissioner of Police, Abba Kyari, by the Federal Bureau of Investigation in the United States. Recall that the arrest warrant was issued following the indictment of Kyari in a $1.1million cyber fraud involving a suspect, Abass Ramon aka Hushppuppi. Umar Gwandu, an aide to the Attorney General of the Federation and Minister of Justice, Abubakar Malami (SAN), who disclosed this in an interview with Punch, noted that a transfer process would not commence until there is a request from the United States to that effect. According to Gwandu, everything will be done according to the rule of law and based on the dictates of the extant provisions of the law. He said; “There is no official communication to that effect.”Everything will be done according to the rule of law and based on the dictates of the extant provisions of the law”.The post No communication yet from FBI on arrest of Abba Kyari Attorney-General’s Office appeared first on Linda Ikeji Blog.
