Mikel Obi rewarded with new contract at Stoke City 

Former Super Eagles Captain, John Mikel Obi has signed a contract extension with Championship side, Stoke City. The club announced that they reached an agreement with the former Chelsea midfielder to stay with the club for mother twelve months. “Contract extensions have been activated to retain the services of defender James Chester and midfielder John Obi Mikel,”reads a statement on the club website. The 34-year-old, who signed for the Potters last summer after leaving Turkish Super Lig side Trabzonspor is now expected to remain at the Bet 365 stadium until the summer of 2022. Mikel played 41 times for the Potters in the 2020/21 season and was one of the most important players for the campaign.  The post Mikel Obi rewarded with new contract at Stoke City appeared first on Linda Ikeji Blog.
