Man is facing life in prison after pleading guilty to murdering his mother at her home

A man is facing life in prison after admitting to murdering his mother.    Dale Morgan, 43, pleaded guilty on Tuesday August 31, to killing his mother, Judith Rhead, 68. Her body was discovered by police at her terraced house in Pembroke Dock, Pembrokeshire, Wales, after family members expressed concern for her welfare.  Morgan pleaded guilty to her murder at Swansea Crown Court via video link, speaking only to confirm his name and enter a plea.  A judge told him he faces life imprisonment when he is sentenced later this year. He was remanded in custody ahead of being sentenced in October. The court heard Morgan, from Neyland, Pembrokeshire, admitted killing his mother some time between 10 December 2020, and 20 February 2021. Judge Paul Thomas QC told him: “There is only one sentence I can impose, that is life imprisonment.” Mayor of Pembroke Dock George Manning told the Western Telegraph: ‘It is always sad to hear of any loss of life and particularly when it occurs in one’s local community.’ The post Man is facing life in prison after pleading guilty to murdering his mother at her home appeared first on Linda Ikeji Blog.
