
Google and Facebook have announced they Will let their employees continue working from home for the rest of the year (2021) due to the current global pandemic.
The tech had previously announced plans to reopen their office soon, but decided to allow working from home flexibility.
Google originally said it would keep it’s work from home policy until 1 June but the company is extending it for seven more months, Facebook said it would reopen it’s offices on July 6 as covid-19 lockdown are gradually lifted.
The Google chief executive, sunder pochai said that employee’s who need to return to the office will start being able to do so from July with safety measures in place.
Facebook also stated a similar thing, that returning to the office will mean to start being able to do so with some safety measures in place.
Facebook has taken the next step in it’s return to work philosophy.
Today, Facebook announced anyone who can do their work remotely can choose to do so through the end of the year and spokesman said:
As you can see this is an evolving situation as employees and their families make important decision return to work.
Facebook also determining which employees will be asked to come in the spokeswoman added.
