Dancer kiled in suspected murder-suicide by boyfriend ‘spoke about ending their relationship’

A dancer who was killed in a suspected murder-suicide by her boyfriend had discussed about ending their relationship, family friends revealed. Maddie Durdant-Hollamby, 22, was found dead alongside Ben Green, 41, at a property in Kettering, Northamptonshire, at around 1pm on Friday.  Police believe the marketing director and dad-of-three Green killed Maddie and then himself in a shocking murder-suicide. Friends of her devastated parents Steve Durdant-Hollamby, 48, and Rachel, 47, revealed that they were not happy about their daughter’s relationship with Green, who worked as a marketing director.  A friend told MailOnline: “Steve told us that Maddie wasn’t that happy with Ben and had spoken about ending the relationship. “He was almost as old as Steve and Rachel and had three kids from a previous marriage and this concerned them. Any parent would be worried if their 22-year-old daughter came home with a man like this. “Steve and Rachel are only in their 40s and so was Ben so I can understand their concerns,” he continued. Maddie and Green are believed to have begun their relationship after meeting at Alumasc Water Management Solutions, where her dad was formerly Managing Director. The reports say she divided her time between living at her parents’ home and staying with Green but, in recent months, she was spending longer periods of time living with him. According to neighbours at Green’s home, Maddie was the latest in a string of young girlfriends he had. One woman told the Sun : “He had at least three girlfriends. They would last about six months and then another one would appear.” She also branded him as “arrogant” and “very difficult” to get to know. In a tribute issued through police, Maddie’s family said: “We are absolutely devastated at the loss of Maddie, our beautiful daughter, sister, granddaughter, and niece. “Our hearts are broken and we cannot begin to imagine life without her. The shock and pain we are feeling is indescribable. “She was a beautiful person both inside and out, who loved nothing more than spending time with her family and friends. “Maddie was a kind, caring, thoughtful young woman, who touched the lives of everyone she met. “A talented dancer, her creative talent continued through school and into her career in marketing. “Her life has been sadly cut short just as her career was blossoming. Our thoughts are with everybody who knew and loved Maddie as much as we did.” Announcing Mr Green’s identity on Monday, Northamptonshire Polcie said: “Officers investigating the murder of a woman in Kettering have today, Monday, August 30, named a man found dead in the same incident as Benjamin Green, aged 41. “The bodies of Mr Green and Maddie Durdant-Hollamby, aged 22, of Wimblington, Cambridgeshire, were found at his home in Slate Drive shortly after 1pm on Friday, August 27, following a report of concern for Ms Durdant-Hollamby’s welfare. “A major investigation was launched into the circumstances of the two deaths, with detectives announcing yesterday, Sunday, August 29, that they are treating Ms Durdant-Hollamby’s death as murder, and are not seeking anyone else in connection with the incident.”The post Dancer kiled in suspected murder-suicide by boyfriend spoke about ending their relationship appeared first on Linda Ikeji Blog.
